Cleveland Animal Protective League
The Cleveland Animal Protective League’s mission is to foster compassion and end animal suffering. Incorporated in 1913, we are an independent, nonprofit humane society located in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood. The Cleveland APL provides shelter to homeless animals relinquished by their guardians, animals that are rescued from abuse or neglect, and stray or abandoned cats. Stop in and visit the many animals we help and have available for adoption – make one of our friends one of your very best friends!
The Max Cure Foundation
The mission of The Max Cure Foundation, Inc., is to fund research for the development of pediatric cancer drug therapies including the discovery of less toxic treatments for children with cancer; to financially assist low-income, military and first responder families battling cancer in their children; and pursue legislative and regulatory changes that seek to benefit children with cancer and at the same time, raise awareness to the needs of those fighting pediatric cancers.
Research Funding – MCF believes in funding innovative and novel childhood cancer research in an effort to find cures for the various forms of childhood cancer and to create less-toxic and more effective treatments for children and young adults diagnosed with cancer. More than $1.5 million to date has been donated, primarily to fund The Immune Cell Therapy Lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Roar Beyond Barriers – This program provides financial support to low-income, military and first responder families who have a child battling cancer and is intended to help ease some of the burdens on the family while dealing with the child’s diagnosis. Since the creation of the program in 2011, Max Cure has provided over $525,000 and has assisted more than 150 families in countless hospitals where children are in active treatment for their cancers.
Wounded Warrior Project
More than 52,000 servicemen and women physically injured in recent military conflicts. 500,000 living with invisible wounds, from depression to post-traumatic stress disorder. 320,000 experiencing debilitating brain trauma.
Advancements in technology and medicine save lives – but the quality of those lives might be profoundly altered.
The numbers speak for themselves, because not every warrior can. With the support of our community of donors and team members, we give a voice to those needs and empower our warriors to begin the journey to recovery.
Through a range of programs and services, Wounded Warrior Project is transforming the way America’s injured veterans are empowered, employed, and engaged in our communities. Your donation will change the lives of over one hundred thousand injured warriors, caregivers, and family members. You will help bring independence back to our nation’s most severely wounded veterans.
