Welding SAE Grade 304, 15 Gauge Stainless Steel

WSI capacitor discharge welders have proven results projection welding fasteners to stainless steel. Testing our capabilities in March 2022 at our resistance welding laboratory in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, a team of research engineers successfully welded 6mm weld nuts to SAE grade 304, 15 gauge stainless steel using a current of 390 / 50 kA. The resulting pushout test recorded 5370 lbs.
