TECNA Press Spot / Projection Welders FOR SALE
AC, DC, and MFDC Combination Spot / Projection Welders
What Is a TECNA Combination Press Spot / Projection Welder?
TECNA press-type spot and projection welders provide a reliable solution for resistance spot welding, projection welding, nut welding, stud welding, and fastener welding applications. Available from Weld Systems Integrators in single-phase AC, three-phase DC, and three-phase MFDC configurations, TECNA press welders combine high welding current, consistent electrode force, and durable industrial construction for demanding production environments.
Air-operated and water-cooled TECNA projection welders use a vertical press action that makes them especially well suited for projection welding applications requiring fixtures, tooling, platens, and consistent weld force. Models are available for both dedicated projection welding and combination spot/projection welding.
WSI is a stocking master distributor of TECNA resistance welding equipment and provides application assistance, replacement parts, service, and technical support. Select TECNA models are typically IN-STOCK at our Warrensville Heights, Ohio location for quick shipment.

What Are TECNA Combination Press Spot / Projection Welders Used For?
TECNA combination press spot / projection welders are used for resistance spot welding sheet metal and projection welding fasteners and formed components, including weld nuts, studs, brackets, stamped parts, and other metal assemblies. Their combination design allows manufacturers to perform multiple resistance welding applications on one machine, making them well suited for automotive, appliance, metal fabrication, and general manufacturing applications
- Spot welding sheet metal — joining two or more overlapping metal sheets using electrodes that concentrate pressure and current at the weld point.
- Projection welding nuts and studs — attaching weld nuts, bolts, studs, bosses, and other fasteners to stamped or fabricated metal parts.
- Welding stamped components — joining brackets, reinforcements, clips, and other formed sheet-metal parts.
- Wire and cross-wire welding — joining wire products, grids, frames, and similar assemblies when properly tooled.
- Automotive and transportation components — producing brackets, structural parts, fastener assemblies, and other repetitive welded components.
- Appliances, cabinets, enclosures, and metal fabrication — applications requiring consistent production welds across different part configurations.
The primary advantage of a TECNA combination press spot / projection welder is versatility. Instead of dedicating separate machines to spot and projection welding, manufacturers can configure one press-type resistance welder for different parts and applications by changing the electrodes, platens, tooling, and weld settings.
