Synthetic fiber retractor balancers are ideal for applications requiring more flexibility, or when used in environments where a stainless steel rope may risk rubbing or scratching painted, delicate or soft surfaces.

TECNA Synthetic Fiber Rope Balancer Selection Guide
TECNA offers RETRACTOR balancer models with synthetic polypropylene or Dyneema® wire rope.
Polypropylene is a versatile, thermoplastic polymer known for its toughness, light weight, chemical resistance, flexibility, and heat resistance.
Dyneema® is a brand of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fiber known as the “world’s strongest fiber,” being 15 times stronger than steel but light enough to float.
Balancer models 9346LNY – 9350NY: These balancers are equipped with a stop device allowing the load to be stopped in intermediate positions of the stroke, about every 3.94 in. (100 mm). The stop device can be activated and deactivated at the operator’s choice.
OPTIONAL ACCESSORY “RUBBER GUARD” (37827) – Prolongs balancer life by protecting from bumps and dings. Available for models 9320NY – 9323NY.
